Hello & Welcome to 8th Grade Science!
You will find this website to be very helpful in being successful in my science class.
My website is a good place to locate general platform instructions, codes, syllabus/contracts, schedules, and science standards.
Please review the 8th Grade Science Syllabus for my class.
Por favor, revise el Programa de Estudios de Ciencias de Octavo Grado de mi clase.
Be sure when navigating on my website that you click on our current school year in the "Resources" tab for relevant resources and materials for our unique school year.
All instructions, assignments, assessments, and learning materials can be located on Canvas through your Wake ID portal. Please navigate to Canvas to become familiar with the site and tools provided for your learning.
*Please note: we are NOT using Google Classroom, therefore you do NOT need a special code to gain access to our Canvas course - you are already enrolled into our course on Canvas.
For help accessing Wake County platforms, click here.
Please expect to meet with me as a class daily for live lessons through Google Meets. For help using Google Meets with nicknames, click here.
Google Meets nicknames/codes are posted on Canvas (through your Wake ID).
My office hours are every weekday, Monday-Friday, 3:00pm - 3:30pm.
You can contact me via email ([email protected]) and/or send a message via Talking Points or Remind.

Virtual Classroom Expectations
Responsibility - Please come prepared to our live lessons. You should have a writing utensil and paper, prepared to participate and take notes. If you are absent, check Canvas FIRST. If you have additional questions, please contact me via email.
Respect - Please be kind to others. Please be respectful to others while they are sharing their thoughts; this means that you are not talking while the teacher or a fellow classmate is talking. You will each get your turn to speak, so please be patient and respectful while waiting for your chance to speak. Further, only science related material should be completed during our class time.
Perseverance - Please submit your work and try your best. I will always give credit to those students who persevere.
Please take ownership for your work. ALWAYS put your FULL name on your work so that way I can acknowledge your hard work.
